Andrea Alexander



Andrea joined SHR in 2017. Her first encounter with handbells was while serving as church organist in 9th grade. She immediately fell in love with the instrument and has participated in various church handbell choirs over the while serving as a professional organist. Andrea enjoys dynamic selections performed by SHR, which allow her to accompany with her broad collection of worldly instruments. In addition to her calling for music and serving, Andrea is also passionate about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) careers and her own journey exploring a love for science. Andrea is currently the Product Development & Technical Service Manager - Elastomers, Americas for ShinEtsu Silicones of America, Inc.



Lynn Braun



Lynn grew up in a family where music was important. She started playing flute and piano around age 10, and continued on until she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA. She did ring the carillon in the college’s bell tower, but didn’t start ringing handbells until a few years later. She was the Handbell Choir director at Shoregate United Methodist Church for over 20 years, leading the bell choir, chime choir, Youth Bell choir, plus ensembles. Lynn joined Stow Heritage Ringers in 2023, soon after retiring from her full time library job. She lives in Willowick, OH, with her husband, Thad.




Tami Clayton



Tami has been ringing bells since 2000 and joined Stow Heritage Ringers in 2018. In addition to SHR, she currently rings for her church choir under H. Dean Wagner and is a founding member of the handbell quartet ENSEMBELLE, which has performed at Stan Hywet , children's hospital tree lighting and many local churchs and senior centers. Previously she rang with Renaissance Ringers and Summit Bells. She has 2 adult children and resides in Cuyahoga Falls with her husband. She enjoys yoga ,reading, roller coasters and painting in her free time.








Jennifer Cupak



Jennifer joined SHR in 2016. She started ringing at a young age with the Handbell program at Center Presbyterian Church in Slippery Rock, PA, under the direction of Marilyn Hines. She received her Bachelors degree in Music Education and has been on stage several times as a guest soloist (flute) prior to joining the ensemble as a ringer. Jennifer currently conducts the handbell program at Center Presbyterian Church and is Director of the Celebration Ringers, a community ensemble out of Grove City, PA. She also serves as co-organizer of the North Hills Handbell Festival.



Greg Eastridge



Greg was honored to join Stow Heritage Ringers in Spring of 2023. He discovered handbell ringing in 2004 with the bell choir at St. Noel Catholic Church in Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Greg recently assumed directorship of this church bell choir. He is also a member of the church's vocal choir and serves as a Cantor. Greg started his musical journey playing clarinet in elementary school and continued playing the instrument as a member of the Bowling Green State University Falcon Marching Band for several seasons. He resides in Cleveland and is an Environmental Specialist at The East Ohio Gas Company (Enbridge, Inc.). Rowing (Crew), biking, hiking, and landscaping are other interests of his.




Brianna Gibson



Brianna joined SHR in 2024. She has been ringing handbells for 17 years. Bri has also been a member of Summit Bells of Akron, OH, since 2016. She regularly attends Bronzefest, and will be attending the Bayview Week of Handbells for the first time in summer of 2024. Bri received her Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Akron in 2021 and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Music Education from Kent State University. She teaches general music and beginning orchestra in Akron Public Schools.





Ed Krzes



Ed has been a member of Stow Heritage Ringers since 2005 and currently serves on the SHR Board as Treasurer. Ed was born and raised near Buffalo, NY, but never saw handbells until he came to Cleveland in 1998. Since then, Ed has made up for lost time with a rehearsal schedule covering 5 days each week to cover his duet team EKCO Ringers, 4 church choirs, a trio and of course, Heritage. To accomplish all his bell ringing, Ed owns his own 5-octave set of handbells. He also enjoys seeing other groups perform. It's not unusual for him and his friends to travel 4 hours just to witness a concert. As stated on their duet website "His favorite song is the one he is playing right now !"

Cheryl Onesky



Cheryl started ringing handbells in 1997 when her church, Holy Cross Lutheran, purchased a two-octave set of Malmarks . She became a dedicated handbell ringer and now serves as director/ringer for Holy Cross’ choir. She has been a member of Stow Heritage Ringers since 2005 and serves as secretary for the ensemble. In addition to SHR, Cheryl rings in the Fuller Sounds handbell choir of Rocky River United Methodist Church and Carillon Ringers of Middleburg Heights UCC. In January she began directing the Chancel Bell Choir at John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Olmsted. Cheryl also participates in small ensembles: EKCO Ringers duet (with fellow SHR team member Ed Krzes), We3Ring (trio) and Soundings (quartet) at Rocky River United Methodist. Cheryl is the Ohio State Chair for the Handbell Musicians of America Area 5, and created a Facebook group called Handbells in Northeast Ohio to help communicate with and engage directors and ringers in the northeastern part of the state. She encourages anyone with a love of handbells to become a member of the Facebook group to find out about handbell events and concerts, subbing opportunities and handbell news.



Andrew Robinson



Andrew joined SHR in 2007 as a "bucketeer". He first started ringing handbells in the 4th grade under the direction of Dorothy Sarver at First Christian Church in Stow and has been ringing ever since. He is an avid sports fan and always finds time to watch his favorite Cleveland sports team on TV. Andrew thoroughly enjoys spending time with his sons Alex and Ethan and already has them in training to be future "bucketeers". Professionally, Andrew is an athletic trainer at the PT Center in Akron.​



Danielle Schlea



Danielle Has been playing bells since 1997. She began ringing under the direction of H. Dean Wagner at the First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. This is where she enjoyed watching her two children Haley and Scott learn to play with Dean, as well. ENSEMBELLE was a quartet made up of 4 various ladies over the course of about 20 years which she was one of the founding members originating at FUMC. After getting remarried, she joined St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Stow, Ohio and joined their bell choir along with her husband, Scott, where they currently ring. Professionally, she is a practicing Licensed Massage Therapist with an office in Hudson, Ohio since 1997. Along with handbells, she enjoys cooking time in the kitchen with Scott, playing with their 3 dachshunds, spending time in their pool, going on Jeep adventures, and kayaking.




Jessica Smiley



Jessica began her love of music with piano and trumpet and then started playing handbells as a preteen at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in her hometown of Girard, Ohio. After a long absence, at the suggestion of her yoga instructor (also the church organist), she joined Stow’s St. Stephen’s Jubellation Handbell Choir in 2014. With her degree in visual journalism, she manages the social media of Stow’s Handel’s Ice Cream and makes and serves ice cream there daily. She enjoys living in festive downtown Cuyahoga Falls with her two cats.

Sherri Stoffer



Sherri has been ringing with Stow Heritage Ringer since 1997 and has served the ensemble as Artistic Director since 2000. She received her Bachelor of Music from Kent State University (OH) and Master of Music from Ithaca College (NY), both in Oboe Performance. Along with piano and violin, her handbell training began at an early age, and was a vital part of her musical development. She is a member of Handbell Musicians of America, and currently serves HMA Area 5 as Treasurer. In addition to Stow Heritage Ringers, Sherri is an ensemble member of Summit Bells (Akron, OH). She is a member of the Donald E. Allured Original Composition Award Committee and serves as co-organizer of the North Hills Handbell Festival. She is a regular participant in the Bay View Week of Handbells and has served as a clinician and guest conductor at various state, national and international events.



Kristy Yates



Kristy started her musical career with piano and clarinet. She began ringing handbells as a teenager and has rarely taken a break since. She joind Stow Heritage Ringers in 2000. In addition to SHR, Kristy rings with her church choir, as well as directing a smaller ensemble that keeps busy playing in the community. She has also coordinated the use of the upper 7th octave of bells that have added so much to our music.
